Prizegivings in school

Pros:
-It makes students strive for success.
-It makes the students more inclined to do their work to a high standard.
-It rewards the students who deserve it and makes them feel like it was worth doing.
Cons:
-The children who don't get awards feel bad, as if they aren't good enough.
-It puts down students who are unable to complete their work to as high a standard as the students who do get awarded.
